The nation-wide depression brings the WPA and the CCC to Katonah.

The WPA works on such projects as taking inventory of all local graveyards, indexing the Town of Bedford minutes 1690-1702, and widening the town roads.

The CCC, made up of unemployed young men, conducts reclamation and reforestation projects.
