The first local Amateur Night, a very pleasing innovation in the village, is held at the Memorial House under the auspices of the Women Civic Club.

Citizens are asked by the Fire Commissioner to shovel the snow around the hydrant closest to their homes or businesses following each storm because a fire may occur, and minutes are precious.
