More than 900 area students visit The Katonah Gallery to see the exhibition, Inventions of Leonardo Da Vinci: Working Models and Drawings on loan from IBM.

The Katonah-based fair housing committee for Northeastern Westchester County is formally organized and Edward Van Horn is elected president. Purpose is to secure equal opportunity for all persons and shall be carried forward through community education.

The Katonah Post Office adds a third rural route serving residents in Somers and Lewisboro.
